Je crois que tout le monde sature. Trop de sons. N'prend plus l'temps d'écouter parce que du temps y'en a plus. Réchauffement. Fonte. 'lors me disais qu'allais vous les écrire décrire mais n'avez plus même le temps de la lecture.

Il ne suffit pas toujours de prononcer ou d'écrire, tel qu'il sort des entrailles de nos têtes, un mot - "makalaboushtipak" par exemple - pour qu'aussitôt, la chose qu'il désignerait, soudainement existe. Je dirai même que cela n'arrive presque jamais. Presque. C'est, l'une parmi d'autres, la raison pour laquelle je nourris une admiration étonnée pour quiconque fait naître, sous ses doigts, les révélant, des plus chatouilleux aux plus retors instruments, à cordes, touches ou même boutons, les mondes qui nous entourent. Cependant, ce mot, "makalaboushtipak", je l'ai prononcé à haute voix et, ainsi s'échappant, au contact nouveau de l'air, a connu son premier matin qui fût aussi son dernier. Je peux, à l'envi, le répéter encore et encore. Rien. A la sixième syllabe, il meurt. Ce monde est un imbécile et moi aussi. Définitivement.

Dans mon lit, sous mes draps, sans comprendre un seul mot de cette langue étrange, j'écoute. J'écoute et je me souviens. Je me souviens, de cette nuit où, voici longtemps, m'étant relevé pour boire un verre d'eau, je fus confronté à une bizarrerie nocturne qui ne se répéta jamais, ensuite. Pour me rendre à la cuisine, où se trouvaient et le verre, et l'eau, je devais traverser le petit salon. C'est précisément dans le petit salon que la chose s'est produite quand je suis passé devant la télévision. Celle-ci s'est allumée. Lillian Gish, ou son fantôme du Vent, est descendue de l'écran et s'est mise à danser tout autour de la pièce.
